Tax Philosophy Statement

We are committed to keeping our clients’ tax liabilities to the minimum within the spirit and letter of the UK tax legislation. We do not recommend our clients to undertake aggressive or artificial tax planning schemes, both for ethical reasons and because the use of such schemes is likely to attract detailed scrutiny from the tax authorities of all aspects of a taxpayer’s affairs, which is costly in terms of fees and disruptive to the taxpayer’s peace of mind as well as time consuming. We recommend what we refer to as ‘sleep at night’ tax planning, which is effective, uncontroversial, within the spirit as well as the letter of the tax legislation and as such highly unlikely to attract the wide-ranging anti-avoidance mechanisms available to HM Revenue & Customs.
